The best experience ever...
After droning on about how I really wanted to go skydiving, my parents finally agreed and it was booked! What was supposed to be an 18th birthday surprise got pushed back three times (which definitely didn't help with the nerves) until Friday 13th, because that's obviously the ideal date to jump out of a plane.
Before I knew it I was sat on a plane in a jumpsuit about to go skydiving! Not my typical Friday afternoon funnily enough. I wasn't actually as nervous as I had expected to be when on the plane, mainly because it didn't feel real, surely I wasn't actually about to do this?
Weightless, free and genuinely happy, that's how I felt during free fall. No sensation of falling, no drop in the stomach, I purely felt like I was flying. You can't get much more cliched than that but it's true, I'm yet to find anything as strange as looking down at a picture which I had not long before been a part of. Nothing looked real or animated, it was like I was staring down at a landscape on a canvas.
Remember, the thing with these bucket list type experiences is that they seem to be out of reach and are often put off indefinitely, then before you know it there is just too many things standing in your way. Though the majority of the time there isn't actually anything stopping you, so just go out and do it because otherwise you might never have the chance.
